CÓMPETA
Welcome to the white mountain village of Cómpeta in sunny Andalusia, southern Spain. A wonderful holiday destination for hikers and cyclists, Cómpeta is also a very nice starting point for visits to the big cities or the beach. The town square is the melting pot where people meet while enjoying a drink and some local food.
Cómpeta is one of those picturesque Andalusian white-painted mountain villages with narrow streets so typical of this region. The village has around 4000 inhabitants and has many things to do. Cute restaurants and bars, banks, a pharmacy and drugstore, supermarkets, Cómpeta has it all. Blinding white houses with beautifully weathered terracotta roof tiles. Narrow streets and alleys with red geraniums. Old men with characteristically aged faces sitting on the bench beneath the monumental church tower, who will welcome you with a friendly hola. In other words, everything you could imagine is here in this 'Pueblo Blanco'.
